McBirnie Foundation: We are dedicated to "strengthening the spiritual and moral fiber of the American Family." The foundation is committed to providing a workable formula for confronting the past and surrendering one´s life to God.
|
Women On The Way: This component of the foundation was started in 2001 and is dedicated to helping women reach their highest potential. Women On The Way is located in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota on 250 feet of lake front property (Franklin Lake). Our cabin provides enough space for up to 18 people at a time, but generally we work with groups of about 6 to 10 people.

 |
Focus/Mission/Vision: While our primary focus is on working with women related to Christian ministry (pastor´s wives, music minister´s wives, etc.), we also work with mixed groups of men and women, church groups and more. Women On The Way is not a "vacation" spot, it´s a literal retreat, a peaceful and quiet place, and a very real and trusting place with no hidden agendas. It´s a "safe place to fall," and an opportunity to learn and (re)-grow again. Our mission is, "To help women reach their highest potential." Our vision is to help women identify what they do well and to value it. Then we simply embrioder on what they like to do and provide them with life-changing, real-world skills they can take with them on The Way.
Facilitator: Group facilitator, June McBirnie, has been involved for the past 30 years in various outreaches, support groups and seminars. She has worked with women, young marrieds, children, teens, singles, entire families and those struggling with various addictions.
Christ-centered counseling is the binding force for the ministry, an influence that has grown to include Women on The Way.
